His lungs burn with need for air and he grimaces a little at the taste of blood but that doesn't stop him from returning the kiss, tearing his lips away with a big breath as his head drops back against the bed. ]

[Sleep sounds fantastic right about now... it's starting to catch up with him again, making it much harder to recover his energy even with the mutant endurance working against it. For now he just focuses on catching his breath... although that by itself makes his mind stray toward smoking.]

[He knows it's rich, making Henry sit up and do anything after getting wrecked. But that isn't going to stop him.]

[Dodger snaps his fingers to light one up, and lets out a contented noise with his first drag. After a moment of thought, he glances over at Henry.]

[Doing an activity and then sleeping together, the most basic blueprint for a date. Really, they've been on a few at this point, they just haven't been calling it that.
Dodger finishes up his cigarette, leaning over Henry to crush the last of it into the nightstand, and seeks out a kiss before curling up against him. He still isn't sure if he'll be able to sleep, but... even just laying here, letting his eyes slide shut, is nice.]
I just want to be around you more. [He murmurs sleepily.] Doesn't matter what we do, I like doing it with you.

[ Or something like it, from his understanding. They did, after all, sleep together and make out a lot.
He returns the kiss gently before he settles onto his back again, keeping his arm close to Dodger if not fully around him. An affirmative noise comes out of him as he tries and fails to fight off a yawn. ]

[ He is not in shape to just leap out of bed anyway and he knows Dodger didn't mean immediately. But still! It needs to be said, he wants Dodger to get some rest. ]

[He doesn't manage much more than that grunt of affirmation, before he ends up dozing off. It's a light and restless sleep, but it is something, probably the closest he can get to proper rest with someone else near him. And maybe it's also nice that Dodger heats up slightly when he's asleep.
No dreams this time - likely for the best, he's prone to nightmares. It makes it a little startling when he wakes up a few hours later, and becomes suddenly aware that he's still curled up against Henry's side. Although once the initial disorientation passes, he just announces he's awake by shifting his weight a bit to cuddle in closer, and pressing a sleepy kiss to Henry's cheek.]

The movement and the kiss at his cheek do manage to rouse him a little bit, though he just sort of groans like a youth of slightly less than his 20 years being woken up for morning chores at the forge. It sort of sounds something like "Hnngh" with a question mark at the end. ]

[Dodger sits up and stretches slightly, before getting up so he can track down his jacket. Somewhere in one of the pockets he has a bottle of advil, and he'll take a few out to offer them. Probably over the recommended dose, but he usually just swallows a mouthful when he's taking them himself.]

[In the meantime, he's lighting a new cigarette while he crawls back into bed.]

[ ok he's being dramatic, but he also literally just woke up. And he's a little indignant to be told someone has to go easy on him. Even if it's true in Dodger's case.
he takes the advil though and against his better judgment doesn't want to get up for water, so he swallows them down with a swig of whiskey from the bedside. ]

Henry huffs a laugh, looking up at Dodger as he climbs over him and takes a seat. There are little knicks and scars here and there on his stomach and arms, though the most significant ones are all on the back of him. ]
