Thank you ... Dodger.

[ It means a lot to him, because Dodger doesn't have to do that. It especially means a lot that he'd talk to Henry before attempting to touch Hans but in the end if Hans was interested that would be that. He can't actually prevent his lord from fucking the people he wants to fuck.

The whole thing gives him a headache on top of the heartache it usually brings, and he ends up clamping his eyes closed until he feels Dodger's hand again.

He hasn't even fully realized he hasn't said it yet. He's said things awfully close, of course. But, well. After these past weeks and after the toss in bed they just had, he knows. He ends up smiling, breathing out something like a chuckle. ]

That's the whole problem isn't it? I love you. [ He kisses him again, a little harder this time. ] I do, I love you.

[Dodger's skin warms up a bit at the words, and he lets out a contented noise into their next kiss. Yes, he already knew, and Henry's said a few things to him that might be more romantic, but it still soothes something in him to have it stated plainly.

He presses a few more kisses to Henry's lips before pulling back a bit, and wavering a little.]

It's Jamie, by the way. My name. Just... don't use it outside of this room.

[He honestly isn't even sure who he's hiding it from at this point. He really doubts anyone here cares that much, barely anyone cared back home. But some forms of security are just a tough habit to break.]

[ Henry smiles too, despite everything going on in his head and heart. It's good to see Dodger looking so happy.

His brows lift then as he's given Dodger's real name. He feels like he warms up a bit at the little tidbit too. Last time they came on this topic, brief as it was, he'd just accepted that he was never going to learn it. ]

Jamie, like ... James? [ Actually Jakub in Henry's language, funnily enough He looks like he's trying to decide if Dodger looks like his name. Affectionately, of course. ]

Of course, I won't tell a soul.

Yeah- well, Jamison. Which means 'son of James', my father's name was James.

[Which... Dodger takes after his father quite a bit despite having never met him. Nominative determinism at work, making him a functional alcoholic who can't stay out of others' business.]

I've been 'Dodger' since I was ten... tried to use my real name for a while, when I was trying to fix my life up, but it never felt right. Like wearing clothes meant for someone else. After that fell through, it just... made sense to go back to what I knew. I don't think I've said it out loud in... five or so years.

Jamie.. Jamison...

[ Mostly he's just trying the names out on his tongue, having not encountered them really before. But his expression fades a little as Dodger goes on to explain. When he's finished, Henry gathers him up close in his arms again despite the protest of his burns. ]

I'm glad you've told me. I won't forget how special it is. [ Being told, not the name itself of course. He gets the feeling that he shouldn't actually call Dodger by his real name so much as just cherish the fact he was trusted with the knowledge. ]

[The name barely feels like his own, but he still likes hearing Henry say it. It feels like some of that barrier he keeps between himself and everyone else is shifting, more and more, to allow Henry in at least.]

You'd better not. [Another kiss.] I can't kill people to keep their mouths shut here, so I'd have to do worse to you.

[He is (mostly) joking. Although the fact that it's entirely possible for him to do so makes him a little self-conscious, and he covers that up by seeking a few more kisses.]
